Understand The Terminology
Minimum Trading Days
These are the minimum number days you must open a trade in. Closing a trade doesn’t count as a trading day.
Maximum Daily Loss
This is the most you can go below the starting day’s balance before you fail the challenge. It’s a percentage of that day’s opening balance.
Restrictions
Limitations or rules set to ensure fair and orderly markets, prevent market manipulation, and protect investors.
EA
EA typically stands for "Expert Advisor", referring to automated software programs designed to execute trading strategies on behalf of traders in financial markets.
Profit Target
This is the amount you need to achieve to be successful. It’s calculated as a percentage of your open balance (eg, 10% on $10,000 means you need to make $1,000 in profit).
Max Total Loss
Maximum loss is static and calculated on initial Balance. For example, on a $100,000 account, the account can only be breached if it goes below $90,000 (10%).
Trading Leverage
In prop trading, leverage allows traders to control larger positions with borrowed capital, amplifying both potential profits and risks. Effective risk management and adherence to firm-set rules are crucial when using leverage in proprietary trading.
Trading Days
There is a minimum trading day of 5 days within each Phase. Max trading days are unlimited!
Scaling Plans
A gradual increase in trade size over time, allowing traders to manage risk, gain experience, and capitalize on profitable opportunities.
HFT
High-Frequency Trading (HFT) in prop trading refers to the use of advanced algorithms and computer systems to execute a large number of trades at incredibly high speeds. These strategies aim to profit from small price discrepancies in milliseconds, often requiring significant technological infrastructure and low-latency connectivity.
